Nursing Informatics

Nursing is a buzz word in the arena of health care. Nursing is the practive that ensures the success of a treatment or study through continous monitoring and care. Nursing Informatics is the growing concept in the field of Pharma and Health care. Nursing Informatics is a saperate Information Systems developed for the Nursing requirements.

Nursing Informatics is a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in nursing practice. In a word nursing informatics is an intelligent system aimed at automating the nursing process.

The Alliance for Nursing Informatics (ANI)


Formed to create a unified voice for nursing informatics. There are more than 25 member nursing organizations.

Provide a single point of connection between nursing informatics individuals and groups, and the broader nursing and healthcare community

American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA)


In 1992, ANIA provided the first opportunity for informatics nurses in Southern California to meet and network. It has since grown to be a non-profit organization with members across the United States sharing common interests in informatics.

Provide professional networking opportunities for nurses working in healthcare informatics and a forum for the advancement of nursing and nursing professionals in informatics

CARING (Capitol Area Roundtable on Informatics in nursinG)


Founded in 1982 to advance the delivery of quality healthcare through the integration of informatics in practice, education, administration, and research.

Provides informatics education and CEUs; Act as a clearinghouse for seminars, positions, and speakers; enables networking of informatics professionals

The AMIA Nursing Informatics Working Group (NIWG)


Formed to promote the advancement of nursing informatics within the larger interdisciplinary context of health informatics.

The Working Group represents the interests of nursing informatics for its members and AMIA through member services and outreach functions, provides official representation to IMIA-NI and other national and international groups
