Nursing Informatics

Nursing is a buzz word in the arena of health care. Nursing is the practive that ensures the success of a treatment or study through continous monitoring and care. Nursing Informatics is the growing concept in the field of Pharma and Health care. Nursing Informatics is a saperate Information Systems developed for the Nursing requirements.

Nursing Informatics is a specialty that integrates nursing science, computer science, and information science to manage and communicate data, information, knowledge and wisdom in nursing practice. In a word nursing informatics is an intelligent system aimed at automating the nursing process.

American Nursing Informatics Association (ANIA)

In 1992, ANIA provided the first opportunity for informatics nurses in Southern California to meet and network. It has since grown to be a non-profit organization with members across the United States sharing common interests in informatics.

Provide professional networking opportunities for nurses working in healthcare informatics and a forum for the advancement of nursing and nursing professionals in informatics

The AMIA Nursing Informatics Working Group (NIWG)
